Video Transcript: What is DNA testing?

DNA testing is a conclusive way that we can find out whether or not people are related to each other.  We are all biologically unique because of DNA a chemical that is found in each one of our cells.

What we are able to do is analyse the DNA to produce a DNA profile.  Because your DNA is inherited, half from your mother, half from your father, we can compare DNA profiles from different people to determine whether or not they really are related to each other and this is an extremely accurate process that provides the most conclusive analysis of paternity.
